Aug 2019. Parco Scherrer in Morcote combines a botanical garden with a park with statues and replicas of monuments from other times and continents. It is laid out on terraces and although it was very hot on the day we visited, plenty of shade and cool areas to sit and relax, looking at the beautiful views across the lake.

Arthur was a traveling merchant and over time he curated this stunning park with pieces of art and plants from across the world. In 1965, Arthur Scherrer gave the park to the village of Morcote and visitors can explore the gardens today.
